Welcome to Milecastle Primary School
It is with great pride that I welcome you to Milecastle Primary School where our mission is for our community to be excited about and love learning. My name is Suzanne Richardson and I am the Head Teacher here. I have been fortunate enough to be part of Team Milecastle for a significant number of years, watching the school and its community grow and flourish.
Our vision here is to provide a safe, vibrant and exciting learning environment, where everyone is included and all successes are celebrated. We provide outstanding care and support as well as high quality learning experiences which challenge the children to be their best. We accept we are all different and we are grateful for the variety that brings.
Our curriculum is driven by our school’s core values and the drive for it be meaningful, memorable and monumental. At Milecastle we recognise the importance of staying up to date with current thinking about curriculum and always consider new practice recommended. We take a pragmatic approach to new initiatives and aim to ensure that anything we put in place is founded on evidence based research and practice to enhance teaching and learning for the benefit of our pupils.
