Geography

At Milecastle Primary School, our geography curriculum is designed to develop the children’s curiosity and fascination with the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Children will become independent learners as they develop the skills they need to investigate a range of places – both British and abroad - to help develop their knowledge and understanding of the Earth’s physical and human processes. Pupils will consider how the Earth is changing and the impact we, as humans, are having on those changes. Our pupils will make enquiries about their local area and compare it to other places in the world and will engage in respectful discussions which will allow them to express their own opinions while considering the opinions of others.
